Marco Scholtz – NWU
I am a tourism researcher at Tourism Research in Economic Environs and Society (TREES) at North-West University in South Africa. I obtained my PhD in 2014 where I focussed on the social impacts of tourism on host communities. As part of my research for the Green Bubbles RISE project, I am studying the social impact perceptions of scuba diving on its host communities, as well as how dive operators can optimally use social media to reach the maximum number of clients.
