It was great, and very interesting, working for weeks in Ponta do Ouro (Mozambique) – one of the case study locations of the Green Bubbles project. The first round of expeditions covered aspects such as reefs location and features, divers’ motivations and attitudes, underwater behaviour. In spite of the period being relatively low season, we managed to take the most out of it surveying many of the present divers and establishing relationships with key local operators in the diving, dolphin watching and hospitality sectors (and of course with the Ponta do Ouro Partial Marine Reserve). We are so grateful to all – we could never achieve without your support!
Now back home, time to start pooling data together. Yet, we will be back soon – first with a report feeding back to the many who helped us so much, and second with further expeditions in the coming months. Ponta… see you soon!
